The new Chief Executive Officer of the Minerals Commission, Isaac Andrews Tandoh, has assured Ghanaians that his leadership will focus on finding the right balance between government mining policies and the productivity of the sector.
Speaking on Joy News’ PM Express Business Edition on September 4, Mr. Tandoh explained that his professional experience uniquely positions him to connect government’s strategic direction with the practical realities of mining operations.
“My predecessor laid a strong foundation in capacity building and infrastructure, and I believe these give us a solid base to push government’s policy goals,” he said.
With more than 20 years of mining industry experience, Mr. Tandoh emphasized that he understands both sides of the equation policy implementation and on-the-ground operations.

According to him, this unique perspective makes him the right person to advise government and ensure that policies drive efficiency, growth, and sustainability in the mining sector.
